On Thursday, September 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., join an Oregon Care Partners expert trainer for a free class in Dallas, titled “Minimizing Medication Risks and Maximizing Quality of Life.” In this class, family caregivers will learn how medications can work in older adults, including age-related changes and adverse medication side effects. The class will also help family caregivers understand how a person-centered approach with their loved one’s history, goals and preferences in mind is essential to maximizing their quality of life. WHAT: In this class, family caregivers learn techniques to improve medication safety practices and how to promote person-centered care in order to maximize quality of life. An expert trainer will share real-world experience and fuel discussion in an interactive classroom environment. This 1.5-hour class is free of charge, thanks to funding from the State of Oregon.
